Earlier this year, we revealed SanDisk®’s ULLtraDIMM™ SSD had been shortlisted for the SVC Award for Best Solid State Storage Product of the Year. Last week, we were very excited to be named the winner of the award at a ceremony in London.

SVC 2013 winnerThe ULLtraDIMM SSD delivers a brand new tier of ultra-low latency storage. Its innovative DIMM form factor design connects NAND flash directly to the memory channel, and leverages our exclusive access to Diablo Technologies’ Memory Channel Storage™ (MCS™) architecture to deliver DRAM-like performance in a cost-effective storage device. ULLtraDIMM has attracted a great deal of excitement in the industry since its announcement in the summer, and we’re thrilled to receive the recognition of the public and reader’s vote in this award.

The SVC Awards recognize the users, manufacturers and suppliers operating in the cloud, virtualization and storage sectors, and are voted for by the readers of Angel Business Communications’ wide range of print and online publications (including Storage Networking Solutions, Data Centre Solutions, Cloud Services World and more) as well as the wider industry.

This year we have had not only a significant increase in the overall number of nominations, but also in the total votes received,” said Franziska Priebe, marketing manager of award organizers for Angel Business Communications. “All finalists did well in making the shortlist, but SanDisk was the clear winner in its category ‘Solid State Storage Product of the Year’.”

SanDisk’s EMEA team attended the award ceremony at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower last Thursday to collect the award.

We would like to thank all of our customers, colleagues and contacts for your continued support and for voting for us in these prestigious awards.
